Deep doom and massive fuzz, but also lots of space and time to contemplate why we might be here. Drummer is particularly cool, as is everything else. Really good for getting stoned, putting on headphones in the middle of a field, lying down, closing your eyes, and drifting off into another world. Heavy as fuck too.

As we prepare ourselves spiritually, physically, and mentally for Sunnata’s upcoming Chasing Shadows, it is as good a time as any to reflect upon the band’s incredible discography, which stands as one of the finest in all of sludge/ stoner, and even (modern) doom for that matter. Zorya is probably Sunnata’s heaviest album and though it is a smidgen less dynamic than Outlands, it is the best entry point for new listeners who want to know what’s what. Perfect soundtrack for steamrolling your foes.
